Pacquiao VS Mosley, A Better Match-Up Than Most Believe

Since the start of Pacquiao’s wonderful boxing career, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum always had an agenda when it comes to deciding who to oppose the pound-for-pound champion. And previously, a fight between Pacman (Manny Pacquiao) and Sugar Shane Mosley was decided to be the fight of the year, as it has been much-awaited and well-discussed worldwide. A fight between a seasoned athlete with an outstanding record and reviews (Mosley), and a well-renounced Filipino boxer with numerous titles, mundane recognitions, and millions of fans all over the globe. Good fight isn’t it.

Included in the original list and options for Manny’s next rival were Juan Manuel Marquez (who has shared several fights with him) and Andre Berto, a young fighter who have proved his skills on his years of battling. But is still Mosley who seemed fitting enough to equal the titleholder’s potency, which had been very evident.

Supposedly, he is about to fight a well-recognized boxer as well, Floyd Mayweather, not until several unwanted incidents surfaced. Though, the upcoming fight is just as exciting as it will be, knowing that both Manny and Sugar Shane had exceptional records from their successive years of boxing. Mosley, is already 39 years old, but that doesn’t make any difference. Pacman as well is rumored to be leaving the sport after just a number of fights, as he wants to exit his tremendous boxing career with still victories. Looking at that angle, we can identify the fairness considering their ages. But who knows how affective their attributes may be? Manny is known for his tremendous speed and power, as Mosley is marked by his endurance and power as well.

Analysts have already made their predictions with the upcoming fight. Majority have bets on Manny, as they say that it indeed is undeniable to say that he is more powerful than the other. Though, some still says that chances are still there that Mosley can do his thing at the last remaining seconds, where he is mostly known.

But at the end of the day, it is still Mayweather who the people and the fans want to be Pacquiao’s opponent, as they have been captured by the early rumors about it. They want to see them both in the ring because of two things : one, they want to see Mayweather (who apparently have stated dirty words and accusations to Pacman); and two, they want to see whether Pacquiao really is the ultimate pound-for-pond champion. And that’s what the world is really waiting maybe some other time soon.

Pacquiao VS Mosley: The Most-Awaited Battle of The Year

This upcoming summer will be the season for the most-awaited battle of the year, casting a pound-for-pound boxing champion with multiple titles tagged aside his name, numerous mundane recognitions for the past decade, and is even coined the “most dangerous boxer ever in the ring”; and another much-mentioned athlete who has successfully taken over great men who fought inside the boxing ring, has the power, speed, and endurance, and has impressed the many regarding his unexpected game turnarounds.

Manny Pacquiao will defend his WBO welterweight title against Shane Mosley on the 7th of May, in an HBO pay-per-view fight from the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, as stated on the papers. The agreement, perhaps, was done and finished just after a good controversial fight between Pacman and Mayweather, not in the ring, but through statements to the public. Supposedly, the two well-said boxers are apt to take the battle inside the arena, as rumors spread all over the sports world. But due to unpleasing circumstances and conditions considering Mayweather’s suits, the much-talked supposed fight was no more materialized. However, boxing fans were never dismayed as it is then declared that the Mosley-Pacquiao fight is due to happen in May 7 2011.

Mosley, in relation, has confirmed that his purse, up front, stands to be around $5 million against Pacquiao. But with incentives, Mosley could wind up earning a career-high amount, surpassing the previous career-best of $7 million that he pocketed after his unanimous decision loss to Floyd Mayweather back in May, who received a non-heavyweight record guarantee of $22.5 million.
As critics analyze the upcoming clash of two among the greatest boxers not only today, many have already made their conclusions: Pacquiao will get over him at the end maybe of the 8th or 9th round. But as they say, Mosley has been tremendously surpassed the expectations of the many about their fights. He got the power, no doubt about that, as he showcases it with immense endurance on his battles. He always does the thing, as they say, during the most critical times of a round or two, as he reverse the situation of things inside the ring in his favor. That’s why they mark him as just as unexpected as the fact that he is so powerful.

Nonetheless, Pacman has indeed a lot more to say than his opponent, considering all his titles, all his recognitions and triumphs all over his boxing career. He has been noted to be among the fastest boxers ever lived the extreme footwork as he throw critical punches specially his left fist which destroyed Hatton, Barrera, and Cotto, to name a few. Known as well with his endurance inside the ring, he paved his success with the obvious strong faith with God and his undying love for his family.

Anyway, the outcome of their fight will prove one of these things: first is that Pacquiao will remain with the respective title, and is still as invincible as he is; second, Mosley definitely has the vigor, maybe as well the luck to defeat him and survive 12 rounds of boxing.

Pacquiao VS Mosley: Admired Fighters Upcoming Fight

Months ago, rumors about a Mayweather-Pacquiao (Floyd Mayweather – Manny Pacquiao) have flooded various papers, columns, discussions, and sports pages as they were both considered as among the most dangerous and the fiercest gentlemen of the boxing arena, not both sides have declared the plans. Manny turned out to be fighting Sugar Shane Mosley this coming summer, which replaced the previous subject on the news. It eventually surfaced as the most-awaited fight of the year, prior to the success Manny have claimed. He has been hailed as the pound-for-pound champion for quite a number of times; he has been entitled by boxing analysts, sports magazines, etc., as the fighter of the decade; coined the most dangerous boxer alive today; and was even called the boxing beast. Though, since Pacquiao is already paving his way to retirement, many have thought that he is so conscious about the number of his fights, as he wants to be remembered and finish his career gracefully.

After he destroyed Ricky Hatton previously, much of the sports talk have centered about how great Pacquiao is. As they have said it, he has the speed, endurance, power, determination, and the rhythms that lead him to all his belts and titles, and probably was among the finest and greatest athletes that have ever lived. And now that he is about to be challenged by Mosley, various analyses and assumptions have been made – Pacquiao will finish it off by the end of maybe 6th or 7th round. But as to what it seems like, it surely will be a hard one for both of them.
Mosley has a well-built and composed body, has the strength and power that crushed several good boxers the boxing ring can ever produce. He have managed to conquer several titleholders, and successfully brought his name to fame.

Manny Pacquiao, on the other hand, have been well-renounced over the world regarding the field of boxing. He as well have been coined the Pride of the Philippines, and the Mexican Killer. He definitely got the speed (no questions to that), the power (the left hand is known to be critical), the determination and the endurance that helped him reach the success he and his family is enjoying at the moment. Many have witnessed his boxing career, starting from the very first major title he has won on the ‘90s up to his recent victory over Hatton. Considering all his fights, he definitely has something to say on beating Mosley. Size difference will never hinder him from throwing powerful lefts and thrusting destructive upper jabs, where he is mostly recognized aside his agility.

Whatever happens in their upcoming fight, glory both to them. They are not just boxing fighters but rather much-admired ones. Whoever managed to win over another is indeed supreme. Mosley will surely be better in the years to come, as Pacquiao hopefully will have the great exit he ever wished.

Pacquiao VS Mosley Fight Odds

For quite a number of times, or may I say most of the time, the Pacquiao vs Mosley (Manny Pacquiao vs Shane Mosley) epic battle on the boxing ring has been merely the talk among fanatics, critics, and followers of the said sport. May it be that certain issues and controversies paved the way for the much-awaited face-off to surface sports pages and reviews, considering the fact that Pacman is coined the pound-for-pound champion, and Mosley as the leveled challenger. The outcome? Nothing but a grandeur showdown between well-said names.

Regarding their upcoming and much-awaited battle, various analysis have taken over discussions among reviewers. They say if Manny can hit him with a right, it will be just as fine – it can hurt him. It can even result to a favored 7-1 battle in favor of Pacquiao, and can end up just as clean as that. Nonetheless, we can never disregard the instance of a miracle. Mosley is the man that is just as unpredictable as a last minute basketball game can be. I even heard that he had a battle where at the last few seconds of the round, he managed to reverse the scenario on the ring – he have taken over his challenger in a snap, and administered to win. If he found the rhythm of his opponent, good. He can connect some jabs where he can thrust his power onto, and probably will affect Pacman’s undersized though molded body. But as Manny’s previous battles have shown, his endurance and determination will eventually still do the thing.

Reviewing Pacquiao’s recent and previous battles, I believe he can outlast Mosley at maybe the 8th or 9th round. On his fight with Cotto, the latter landed some big hits in the first two rounds, but many absorbed the punches beautifully and exploited the vulnerability to attack Cotto and countered back powerfully; Hatton have been figuratively destroyed, as some addresses it, at the end of their fight; Margarito gave Pacman a hard time when they first exchanged blows, but was brutally beaten when Manny blew back.

Credits to Shane Mosley, I would say, for in his whole boxing career, he absolutely has something to say. He defeated well-said names on the arena and the classiest gentlemen the ring have ever produced. Excluding of course, his encounter with Mayweather, who have overpowered him once. But that certainly doesn’t question any of Sugar Shane’s abilities and skills nonetheless.

Experience? Manny has certainly got that overwhelmingly, as he have been fighting for decades and successfully dominated various weight-categories over the years. Power? Give that to the well-built Mosley, as he can give power punches at unexpected instances, as Manny can give a number of them at a minute and manages to connect in superior accuracy but loses his track along the way. Speed? If Pacquiao has another nickname aside “Pacman”, it definitely will be “the Swift and the Hasty”. Though, a turnaround of things always is present in every dwelling. Who knows? As they say, “always expect the unexpected for when it comes, it can destroy your thoughts.”
